Thought Process
The day we started to think about our passion project I tried my best to figure out what exactly I wanted to do. Of course, being me I left all my thoughts in the back of my head until the day we had to present our ideas to the class. I've always wanted to majour in design, so that's what I said for my first weekly update. After I talked to Mr.Lambert about my future career in design I realized; I didn't want to research for my passion project. It feels forced, and when something feels forced it's not your passion. So I continued to think but left my thoughts in the back of my head until our next weekly update where I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do: code, music, new language, drawing, research, hand language, new website. None of these ideas came to me as, me. So, I went along with a children' s book, a children's book isn't really my forte. I just picked it because I would get to draw. I continued to go along with the idea and attempted into putting a story line together and maybe even a lesson, but it wasn't working out. So I gave up until the recent weekend a few days before the presentation was due, I figured out I should do something art related. With a few passing ideas and a little time I concluded with the idea of making a mural for the school. I really like this idea because I love to paint and be creative with my ideas and I felt that making a mural would be a great experience for me.

Working On The Mural
Day 1: To be very honest, working on the mural was very frustrating. I started working on it the week all my summatives were due and exam prep was beginning. I spent my whole weekend in the same spot working on my mural for hours straights while watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S. so I wouldn't say it was all bad. In a day I got to this point I had all my pencil work done and began to paint. Also I got grounded because I stayed home to work on this instead of going out for dinner.

Day 2: It's Monday and of course Monday's are horrible. I came home and studied for my math exam, watched friends while doing my mural. I spent the entire day after school working on my mural and got a lot finished. There were moments where I was sitting next to my mural and watching t.v but It was productive.
Day 3: By now I know my mural won't be complete for the presentation, but at least I know I'll continue to work on it until it is. I could have maybe got my mural done for Thursday or Friday but I wasn't sure so I decided to go on Wednesday. I got a lot done and I'm ready for my presentation.
Overall
I've enjoyed this project, it was a lot of fun but very frustrating at points (exam week). I wish I could have gotten it done but then it would have been a worthless piece of art. I rushed at some points of the mural but managed to work very hard on it. I think that if I realized what I wanted to do ahead of time, it would've worked out better. In the future I'll continue to work on this until it's done and maybe put it up in my room or ask someone in the school to hang it up somewhere. It'll be a great mini mural for Jacob Hespeler.
